Symphony in Lights at The Shops at Wiregrass
For a relaxing and free event during the sometimes hectic holiday shopping time, stop by The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel to enjoy the Symphony in Lights. Deanna Cheyne will be singing in the courtyard from 8pm to 10pm on 23 December. Deanna is a unique vocalist with a range from demanding operatic arias to a contemporary intimate sound. The Light show is nightly and starts hourly at 6pm with the last show at 9pm. The show set to the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Symphony in Lights combines 250,000 LED lights, 1,000 watts of sound, and 10 tons of holiday décor. The lights on giant Christmas trees artfully shine to the music of the TSO via computer programming. A new attraction at the mall this holiday season is an ice skating rink, which is made from synthetic ice. Special skates are required for this type of ice and can be rented for $8 Monday through Friday and $10 on Saturday and Sunday. The rink is open Mondays through Fridays from noon to 9 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 6 pm. The mall opened just before Christmas last year. The mall has an open-air retail layout and is located on the corner of State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in Wesley Chapel and just off of I-75 at exit 275. The Shops at Wiregrass is a main-street style, pedestrian-friendly, outdoor lifestyle village. It features curved, tree-lined streets and pocket parks. The Shops at Wiregrass has 800,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment on 67 acres of land. The mall features Macy’s, Dillard’s, JCPenney and 100 specialty retail stores and signature restaurants.
