The elements of the nutrition are the same in plants grown in soil, but they are fed directly to the root base as opposed to dispersing a lot of water in the soil and having the plant root search for the nutrition. This allows the hydroponic farmer to save water and not stress the plant because of a lack of water or the essential nutrients.
