Movies at MacDill AFB 21 & 22 August
For an inexpensive night out at the movies, stop by the MacDill AFB Movie Theater this Friday and Saturday. You’ll find out that you will only spend about half of what you spend out in town for a movie and refreshments. You can’t beat the prices on base! On Friday at 7pm and again on Saturday at 3pm, the children’s movie ” Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” is playing. Rated PG for mild rude humor, and peril, the movie has a runtime of 94 minutes. The sub zero heroes are back. Scrat is still trying to nab the ever elusive nut, while maybe finding true love. Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth. Diego the saber toothed tiger wonders if he’s growing too soft and Sid the sloth gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs. On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora and fauna, run amuck and meet a relentless, one eyed, dino-hunting weasel named Buck. On Saturday at 7pm, “Bruno” with Sacha Baron Cohen is playing. Rated R for pervasive strong and crude sexual content, graphic nudity and language, this movie has a run time of 82 minutes. Brüno, a gay fashionista is the host of the top-rated late night fashion show in any German-speaking country–apart from Germany. Brüno’s mission is to become the biggest Austrian celebrity since Hitler. He plans to crisscross the globe in the hopes of finding fame and love.
