GreenFest at Plant Park at University of Tampa 29 March
The Friends of Plant Park are sponsoring GreenFest at Henry B. Plant Park this weekend. Started in 1997, GreenFest is an annual educational nature festival that provides the Tampa Bay area an opportunity to learn about the care and cultivation of local plants and flowers. If your new to Tampa, planning on a new garden or just trying to figure out how to improve your current garden, then stop by GreenFest to learn about gardening and see a wide range of plants and gardening supply vendors. There will be to the educational speakers to help learn about the native plant life and how to cope with the current rain conditions or lack thereof! You can also see gardening demonstrations to learn about innovative techniques. Plant Park is a beautiful and historic part of Tampa. Plant Park is located on the western bank of the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa on the campus of the University of Tampa. This is a free event with a suggested donation of $3 for adults and children 12 and under are free. The proceeds from GreenFest are used to maintain and enhance historical Plant Park. Hours on Sunday are 10am to 4pm, rain or shine! There will be foods and beverages for sale. Here is the schedule for presentations for Sunday:
