Kid City, The Children’s Museum of Tampa
Kid City in Tampa near Lowry Zoo is dedicated to inspire children and families by creating learning opportunities through community, creativity, curiosity, discovery, diversity, friendliness, fun, imagination, and innovative play. There are 16 kid sized exhibit buildings built to replicate a city including a fire station to learn about fire safety, doctor’s office, grocery store where you can shop for a nutritious meal, a fast food restaurant, a post office, city hall and a safety center. Your children will love this place because of the interactive exhibits and child sized buildings. Hours are Wed 9:30 – 2, Fri 9:30 – 2, Sat 9:30 – 4. It is also open Sundays and Mondays for field trips, special events and birthday parties only. There is free parking and picnic areas. Admission is $5 for everyone 1 year and older.
