At the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office in Clearwater on Friday 21 Dec from 10am to 2pm, $25 tickets will be available for: A Christmas Carol, Bowfire, AEROS, Moisevey Dance Co, Pilobolus, Coldstream Guards, Swan Lake, Spectrum Dance Theater/Donald Byrd featuring David Benoit.

Also you can buy two tickets for $25 or Family 4-Packs for $50 to see: Doodlebops LIVE!-The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley.

You can also buy two tickets for $25 to the Golden Dragon Acrobats.

To get these special ticket prices, you must purchase them at the Ticket Office (727.791.7400). No mail, phone or online order will be accepted. Quantities are limited and each person can only buy two $25 tickets or one $50 Family 4-pack.

On Sunday 23 Dec, there is a $10 discount for children and senior tickets to watch A Christmas Carol at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. Ticket prices for children will be $12 and $22 for seniors.  Call the box office at 727.892.5767 to get the discount tickets.  Shows are at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets for adults range from $22 to $32 depending on seating location. It’s less than a 30 minute drive from MacDill AFB.

MacDill AFB has a Skeet Range that is open Fri-Sun from 8am-2pm. Shotguns and ammo are available for rent. They have 12 gauge and 20 gauge shotguns available. You can save a little bit of money by buying your shells out in town before coming to the range. There is a small charge to use the range. If you haven’t shot skeet before, there are usually other shooters around to help you out. Inside the range house, there is also a guide on what your sight picture should be. The range is located on Rattlesnake Rd and their phone number is 828-5299. To get to the range, take the road to the Marina, then you will see a sign directing you to SOCCENT and the Skeet Range. Just follow that road and you will be there in minutes.

Every Tuesday morning at 10:30am at the MacDill AFB Library bring your children for an enjoyable Pre-school Story Time! The Library is open M-Th from 9am-8pm, Fri from 9am-5pm and Sat from 10am-5pm.

While at the Library, visit the Power Blendz Coffee Bar with a large variety of regular and flavored coffees, espresso, lattes, mocha’s, smoothies and assorted pastries. The Power Blendz Coffee Bar is open the same hours as the Library.

Take your picture with Santa and your favorite pet on Sunday from 3pm to 4pm at Hyde Park Village! The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is sponsoring the photos with Santa. With a donation to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, you will receive one complimentary 4×6 photo. Other photo sizes are available for an additional cost. From noon to 3pm, Santa will be available for photos with just children or adults.

Enjoy the shopping and restaurants in Hyde Park Village!

Come watch the Clearwater Holiday Parade from 11am to 2:30pm on Saturday 15 Dec.  The parade starts at Crest Lake Parkand then proceeds from Cleveland St to Myrtle St.  Bring your lawn chairs and watch the floats, krewes, antique cars and Santa Claus!  Right after the parade until 4pm, there will be a Downtown Festival with Santa, crafts, inflatables, musics and plenty of family oriented events.  The Festival will be on Cleveland St, west of East Avenue.  Clearwater is about 30min west from MacDill AFB.

See Santa this Sunday from 1pm to 3pm at the Hydro Harvest Farms in Ruskin.  It is a little over a half-hourdrive from MacDill AFB.  It’s a great trip that will be fun for the whole family.  Not only can you see Santa, but you can pick out a Christmas tree and either pick your own vegetables or get fresh picked vegetables. 

Hours are Mon-Sat from 10am-6pm and Sun from 10:30am-4pm.

The 50th running of the Daytona 500 takes place on 17 Feb.  Get your discounted tickets now at the MacDill AFB ITT.  Ticket prices run from $75 to $135 which are $15 to $29 off the gate price. 

The ITT is located in the MacDill AFB Exchange Mall.  Hours are M-F from 9am to 5pm and Sat from 10am to 3pm.

Get a little bit of exercise with a big group of people at the Jingle Jog Run on Friday 14 Dec.  Sign up at the MacDill AFB Fitness Center at 11am with the run starting at 11:30am.  There is no entry fee.  It is 5k run with free t-shirts!  The start is a the Fitness Center and goes towards the back of the Fitness Center onto Cypress Stand Rd, left onto Shortcut Rd, then another left onto Golf Course Rd where you turn around and go back to the Fitness Center.  Do your regular lunch time run and get a free t-shirt!
